(made in an Amarone style): Inky purple. Expansive, highly perfumed scents of red- and blackcurrant, dried cherry, rose and licorice. Juicy black and blue fruit flavors display liqueur-like depth, with a peppery nuance providing lift. Sappy, smoke-accented cherry and blackcurrant flavors linger on the fruit-dominated finish, which is framed by smooth, velvety tannins.
